Doll Care & Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance are essential to keep your doll in great condition, extend its lifespan, and ensure the best possible experience.

Whether you own a full-size TPE or silicone doll, a torso toy, or a ULW series silicone doll, following the guidelines below will help protect your doll and keep it looking and feeling its best.

How to Clean a Sex Doll

Whether you are cleaning a sex torso toy, a mini sex doll, or a full-size sex doll, the basic cleaning process is similar. Full-size dolls may require a bit more effort due to their size, but the principles remain the same.

Because TPE and silicone materials have different properties, their cleaning methods vary slightly.

Cleaning a TPE Doll

Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) is soft and realistic to the touch. However, it is porous, meaning it can absorb sweat, oils, dirt, and bodily fluids. If not cleaned properly, mold or bacteria may develop.

Cleaning Tips:

  • Use warm water only (avoid hot water, which may deform or damage the material).

  • Clean gently and avoid using hard brushes or excessive force.

  • Use a clean towel or soft sponge to wipe the doll’s surface.

  • After drying, apply baby powder to maintain the soft texture and prevent stickiness.

Cleaning a Silicone Doll

Silicone dolls are non-porous, denser, and easier to clean. They are also more heat resistant and durable, though generally more expensive.

Cleaning Tips:

  • The doll can be cleaned using warm water, a shower, or gentle rinsing.

  • Use regular soap, body wash, antibacterial soap, sex toy cleaner, or wet wipes.

  • Avoid using brushes that may damage or roughen the skin surface.

  • Dry with a towel and allow to air dry. Afterwards, apply baby powder to help prevent oxidation or yellowing.

Cleaning ULW Series Silicone Dolls

The ULW (Ultra Lightweight) series uses a PU foam lightweight internal structure.

To prevent water from entering the internal structure during cleaning, each doll is equipped with a waterproof plug that seals the ventilation hole and protects the internal frame and filling materials.

Other cleaning steps are the same as those used for silicone dolls, but special attention should be paid to the waterproof plug.

Waterproof Plug Cleaning Tips:

  • Before cleaning the doll or torso surface, ensure the waterproof plug is properly installed.

  • The plug is designed to prevent water from splashing into the internal structure during routine cleaning.

  • Avoid directing water at the same spot for a prolonged time.

  • Even with the plug installed, do not submerge the doll in water or squeeze the body while underwater, as moisture may still enter the internal structure.

Cleaning the Vagina and Anus

These areas require extra care to prevent bacteria buildup and maintain hygiene.
Cleaning Method
  • Use a vaginal irrigator or cleaning syringe filled with mild soapy water or diluted body wash.
  • Gently flush and clean the internal channel until the surface no longer feels slippery.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  • Use an absorbent drying stick or similar tool to completely dry the interior.

Important Note

The internal cavity is a sealed environment, and moisture can lead to bacterial growth. Take your time to ensure it is fully dry before storage.

For example, using the SiR161 silicone body, you can watch our tutorial video demonstrating how to use a channel cleaner.

Cleaning the Face

Recommended Steps

  • Remove the head first to prevent water from entering the eye sockets or neck area.

  • Use a soft damp towel, mild soap, or baby wipes.

  • Wipe gently to avoid damaging the makeup.

  • For ROS oral-function dolls, remove the wig before cleaning the mouth.

  • For implanted-hair dolls, tie the hair up before cleaning the oral area.

Additional Cleaning Precautions

  • Avoid full submersion: the head connects to the internal skeleton through a neck bolt. Water may damage or rust the internal connection.

  • Be cautious when bathing the doll: avoid letting water enter the neck joint.

  • Keep the floor dry: preventing slips is important for both you and your doll.

How to Store Your Sex Doll

Proper storage helps prevent deformation, material damage, and discoloration.

Full-Size Dolls

  • If possible, store the head and body separately to reduce weight and storage space.

  • Store the doll lying flat or use a hanging system to reduce pressure on joints and skin.

  • Keep the doll in a dry, ventilated environment, away from direct sunlight or heat.

  • Avoid prolonged contact with dark-colored clothing, as TPE and silicone may absorb dyes.

Example Storage Methods

Hanging Method

  • Screw a hook into the doll’s neck joint.

  • Hang the doll inside a closet or on a storage rack.

Lying Flat

  • Wrap the doll with a blanket and lay it flat.

  • For dolls with larger breasts, use the included bra to prevent long-term deformation.

Torso Toys

  • Store in the original packaging or storage box to keep them dry.

  • They may also be hung inside a closet or placed on a rack.

  • When laying flat, avoid putting long-term pressure on certain areas.

Additional Storage Tips

  • Use a protective bag or breathable cloth cover to prevent dust.

  • Avoid airtight plastic materials that trap moisture.

  • For long-term storage, remove clothing to prevent staining or pressure marks.

Example:
Our torso series can be stored in a storage box with a soft towel cushion to help preserve curves and sensitive areas.

Daily Doll Care

Routine care helps maintain the doll’s realistic feel and longevity.

Before Use

  • Clean the doll thoroughly.

  • Apply a suitable lubricant for a smooth experience.

  • Check that joints and ROS head movement function smoothly.

After Use

  • Clean all contact areas promptly to prevent stains or bacteria buildup.

  • Allow the doll to fully dry before storage.

  • Apply baby powder to maintain softness and prevent oiliness.

Material Notes

TPE

  • Tends to attract dust.

  • Minor scratches can sometimes be improved with powder and gentle brushing.

Silicone

  • More durable, but avoid contact with sharp objects.

Makeup & Clothing

  • Avoid using oil-based cosmetics on the doll’s face.

  • Wash new dark-colored clothing before dressing the doll to prevent dye transfer.

Minor Damage Repair

Even with careful use, minor damage may occur. Many small tears, scratches, or surface marks can be repaired at home.

Common Damage Types

  • Small tears

  • Minor scratches

  • Fingertip or edge damage

  • Loose joints

TPE Repair

For minor scratches or material loss, please contact customer service for evaluation first.

If the damage is small, Climax Doll can provide a soldering iron and small pieces of TPE material for DIY repair (shipping cost paid by the customer).

Repair Steps

  • Minor scratches can be smoothed with a heated soldering iron.

  • For small missing areas, heat a small piece of TPE until it melts.

  • Allow the melted material to drip onto the damaged area.

  • Use a flat tool or fingers to smooth the surface.

  • Let it cool and solidify to complete the repair.

Please refer to our video tutorial for safe operation.

Silicone Repair

  • Minor scratches can sometimes be improved through manual pressing and rubbing.

  • Avoid excessive force to prevent further damage.

  • Unlike TPE, silicone cannot be repaired with heat, so do not use a soldering iron.

Method 1: Thumb Friction

  • Locate the scratch.

  • Gently rub the area using alternating thumb pressure.

  • Avoid scratching the surface with fingernails.

Loose Joint Adjustment

Loose joints in TPE dolls can be adjusted through the side opening.

Steps

  • Prepare scissors and a wrench.

  • Carefully cut a small opening in the TPE covering near the loose joint.

  • Expose the internal skeleton and cut the wrapping cloth.

  • Use the wrench to tighten the joint screw.

  • Once adjusted, melt the TPE material with a soldering iron to seal the opening.

Important

Proceed slowly and avoid cutting too large an opening at once.

You can also watch our joint repair tutorial video before attempting the repair.
