Understanding The Doll Skin Tone Differences

CLM(Climax Doll) as a sex doll manufacturer with 9 years of production and sales experience, we understand that customers have high expectations for product quality and appearance consistency. However, we have received feedback from some customers who find that the skin tone of the product they received differs from the skin tone shown in the product photos and factory photos. To help customers better understand this issue, we are providing a detailed explanation of why there may appear to be differences in skin tone.

Product Photos

1.Professional Photography Environment
When customers browse our products, the first thing they see are the professional product photos. These photos are usually taken in a professional studio setting. Photographers use various professional equipment and techniques to ensure that the photos showcase the product's beauty and details to the fullest extent.

2.Use of Ambient Lighting
To better showcase the product and fit the theme of the shoot, photographers use different colored ambient lighting during the photoshoot. This lighting not only highlights the product's details and texture but also creates specific atmospheres and emotional effects. For example, to create a warm feeling, photographers may use warm-toned lighting; to convey a cool and elegant beauty, they may use cool-toned lighting.

3.Causes of Skin Tone Differences
Due to the varying colors and intensities of the lighting, these product photos may show a different skin tone compared to the actual product. For instance, warm-toned lighting can make the product appear more reddish, while cool-toned lighting can make it look paler. These skin tone differences are unavoidable results of the photography process.

Product Factory Photos

1.Confirmation After Production
After customers place an order and complete the payment, we begin production. Once production is complete, we take factory photos of the product and send them to the customer for confirmation. The purpose of these photos is to show the product's true appearance and details, ensuring the customer is satisfied with every aspect of the product.

2.Use of Bright Lighting
To make sure customers can see every detail of the product clearly, we use bright lighting when taking factory photos. While this lighting condition helps to showcase the details well, it can also cause changes in the skin tone. For example, bright lighting can make the product appear brighter or lighter than it actually is.

3.Causes of Skin Tone Differences
Because bright lighting is used during the photoshoot, the skin tone of the product in the photos may appear brighter or lighter than it actually is. This is because the reflective light on the product's surface increases under bright lighting, affecting the presentation of the skin tone.

Skin Tone Differences Between Photos and the Actual Product

1.Skin Tone Differences Upon Receiving the Product
When customers receive the product, they may sometimes feel that the skin tone differs from the product photos and factory photos they saw earlier. In reality, this is due to the different lighting conditions under which the photos were taken. The product photos and factory photos are taken under specific lighting conditions, which differ from the natural lighting in daily life.

2.Impact of Daily Lighting on Skin Tone
Under daily lighting, the product's skin tone can vary depending on the surrounding light. For example, indoor lighting, natural sunlight, and overcast lighting can all affect the product's skin tone differently. Therefore, the skin tone of the product may appear different under various lighting conditions.

3.Understanding and Accepting Skin Tone Differences
We hope customers can understand and accept these minor skin tone differences. Whether it’s the product photos or factory photos, they are all taken under specific lighting conditions that differ from actual environments. This phenomenon is not limited to sex dolls; any product will display different skin tones under different lighting conditions. This is a normal occurrence.

Take an example
Using the TPE torso sex toy BW82# as an example, the images below compare the product photos with the factory photos of BW82#. In the product photos, you can see that the upper and lower parts of BW82# appear to have different skin tones. This is because the shooting environment was quite dark. To create a gradient of light and shadow on the product, we only added strong warm light to the lower part of the product, placing the light stand on the ground and directing the light upwards at the product. As a result, the overall appearance of BW82# in the product photos seems to have a visual color difference.

Looking at the factory photos of BW82# on the right, we added strong light to both sides during the shoot, with the light angles kept level with the product. This makes the skin tone of the entire product appear very consistent. This example illustrates why there can be skin tone differences between product photos and factory photos. Different environments and lighting angles produce different visual effects.
